KMMI ISPAT PVT. LTD (KIPL) is a Greenfield Project to produce 90000 TPA Sponge Iron(DRI) is envisaged at Halavarthi village, Koppal Taluk & District with an estimated Cost of Rs.400 Million.

This Plant uses latest Pre-heating Technology which increases output and consumes less coal, thereby reducing the emissions and making it energy efficient. The Plant is setting up 2 X 150 TPD Kilns.

The site is located near National Highway-63 between Hospet and Koppal.
